Career Opportunities

The logistics industry is dynamic and ever evolving to provide new and intriguing opportunities for individuals.  JTS is always looking for energetic and committed individuals to be part of our team.  A position with us is not simply a job so we only want applications from serious candidates.

Candidates who apply for a position with JTS should seek to know more about us, logistics and determine if this field is truly one of importance to them.  If you are still interested and feel that you have what it takes, please send us your resume and salary requirements at the link provided.

In view of the heightened COVID concerns, JTS has taken measures to ensure the safety of our clients and partners which we continue to review and adjust as required.

Within our office space we have:

  • Established a “must wear mask” policy
  • Provided dispensers of sanitizers
  • Established social distancing points.
  • Routine disinfecting of office space and surfaces.

On a daily basis, staff members and clients are screened when entering and leaving the facility; this in conjunction with Kingston Wharves Ltd. where we are housed.

In addition to these measures, we implore clients who have travelled overseas to refrain from visiting our office until some 14 days of quarantine. This requirement extends to immediate family

members and persons living in the same household as the customer who recently arrived from overseas.  We have a zero-tolerance policy in this regard, and you will not be allowed on the facility.  If perchance you bypass the security, you will not be served but will be promptly escorted from the facility.  After quarantining, you are asked to present your discharge certificate which is obtained at your nearest health centre.

If you are importing personal effects, you may simply provide details on your cargo and your TRN information and we will process your customs declaration online for you.  As before, with us you have the option for an end-to-end service, so do take advantage of the opportunity.  Speak to one of our representatives for the additional information or email us at info@shipdoortdoor.com

Since April 2020, the port operators have also established a few policies; in line with directives from Jamaica Customs Agency and the Government of Jamaica.  These include but are not limited to:

  • All areas and workstations are generally cleaned and disinfected.
  • All terminal users must wear a mask that covers nose and mouth – you will not be allowed otherwise.
  • Temperature checks at entry points.
  • Social distancing with floor signs to guide you
  • Sanitisation areas have been installed.
  • Online appointments for next and same day processing for personal and commercial shipments, full and less than container loads.
  • Online client services cashiering, validation, and documentation operations. Mobile apps allow you to view and pay your shipping charges from your android mobile phones.
  • PCS appointments will be accommodated on Sundays, up to 12 noon, to facilitate containers expected from vessels discharging on the weekend and whose manifests might not have been uploaded in PCS.As it relates to regular FCL appointments, all port guidelines remain in effect–Customers are allowed two roll-over days; if the second appointment is missed, a new appointment must be made, and restocking fees will apply. No manual appointments are being accepted.

JTS cares about you and want to ensure that you and all our stakeholders remain safe as you go about interfacing with us and the ports.
